Going grocery shopping in a bit and wanted to get some hot sauce recommendations. I have tried Tabasco and Lee kum keep Sriracha type mayo both in the past few days and liked both but wanted to get more opinions on the matter. I'm looking to get two sauces, one a general hot sauce that would compliment any dish and a Chipotle or spicy mayo to go with chicken or fries or whatever

Get Crystal for heat - it's like a better Tabasco. Then get pic related for flavor.

So is Valentina just flavourful with no heat? Because I'm open to that

It's got some heat, but even the extra hot isn't particularly hot. But it is flavorful as fuck, so you can use it with a heavy hand. The Mexicans in my neighborhood put it on such unlikely things as potato chips and mango. It's definitely a good hot sauce to grab when you want to play around with the stuff.

Seconding Valentina. It's really good. I put it on omelets and burgers. Also absurdly cheap for how much you get

I like Trappeys over Crystal. Slightly different flavor / slightly less heat. I like Valentina as well, but my kids prefer the Trappeys so I'm overruled.

We can get giant refill bottles of any of the above at a local discount grocery insanely cheap; 12 oz bottles are around $1 and the 32 oz bottles are $2.
