The only thing it's good for is California rolls

Yeah, I like snaking on them. They're good torn up in stir fried veg or chinese soup too.

They are used in a kind of chicken sauté where I live. And also in a kind of salad with mayo and maize.

Only if OP has 1/3 of a ton. Otherwise fake crab is garbage and should be disposed of as such.

This sounds pretty good actually.

I just use it for stir-fry.

These are great. Wrap one in a slice of yellow american cheese. Wrap that in a soft taco shell. Microwave for 2 minutes. Seafood decadence!

Triscuit + cream cheese + immitation crab

Also very good for budget sushi

It's the same shit that fish cake is made out of, so I like to put it in ramen.

Sandwiches. Shredded up with paper thin celery. Lemon juice. A little mayonnaise. Salt. Pepper. Served on hot dog rolls. Grilled with butter, lobster roll style. Light and refreshing in hot weather with a nice pilsner style beer and kettle chips.

Pasta sometimes ramen. I like the stuff.

Good party food / quick to throw together at the last minute. The Bennet's has lots of horseradish which I like.

>> No.6161961

It tastes fine. I wish I could get it in solid fish cake form, I don't like the stringy texture.

That actually sounds tasty and I intend to try it! I usually just shamefully scarf it down for a snack every now and then. I used to get it on my salads from the grocery store salad bar when I was couch-surfing, too, with blueberries and green olives and spinach and vinegar and tomatoes and probably beets.

This is probably a shitpost thread but just in case it isn't this is my favorite recipe:
>shred imitation crab meat into bowl
>soften cream cheese
>mix both together with chopped scallions, garlic, salt, and a bit of worcestershire
>take croissant dough (you can buy it in the grocery store in tubes)
>put a bit of filling inside each piece of dough and roll em up
>bake
>crab rangoon croissant rolls

I don't really like it, but I will very occasionally use it to make a mixed seafood pasta (along with frozen clams and squid because they're cheap) when I'm skint but want something that tastes like real food.

>> No.6162252

They're not bad. They're just fish paste put into crab shapes and colored.

I've never really used them for anything, but I don't get people being all "EWWW GROSS FAKE CRAB."

Flush it down the toilet.

I stuff them into brioche buns and smother them with lemon mayo whenever I'm in France.

I also like strips of in my spaghetti with pesto (or just garlic oil).

You can smuggle it in your purse to the movies if your normal crab legs are annoying the patrons around you.

/ck/ is full of elitists, last time I mentioned fake crab I pretty much got called a pleb. I like to saute it with soy sauce and eat it with spaghetti (I oil and butter the pan, let the crab brown a little, throw some soy sauce in. The noodles are cooked by now, I throw them in the pan, add more soy sauce and stir it around til the noodles change color a little. It's also good with veggies, I like mushrooms.)

It's also good in an omelette. (I like crab, veggies, some cheese and putting some hot sauce on top)
