I'm vegetarian and will politely refuse meat. Other non-veg stuff I'm more lenient on (lard, gelatin, stuff like that). But straight up meat I will avoid as hard as I can. Then again, I've never been somewhere where they didn't know I was vegetarian and offered what they had.

Maybe if they third world poor that's all what they decided to offer, but otherwise I will try to avoid flesh.
