Is poop edible?

I know that pee can be drank up to 3 times and still contain hydrating waters that stave off death by dehydration, but does poop retain any nutrients to keep you alive in a potentially life or death scenario, like being trapped in a hole with nothing to eat for days?

Any fibers, carbs, sugars, vitamins still within the stools?

I think you should test this theory, by locking yourself in a deep dark hole with no way out and only your bodily excretions to sustain you until you get your answer.

Well I would never do such a thing unless my life depended on it. Like as a last resort before cannibalism in the event I was trapped on a mountain or something. This is why I am searching for proven scientific studies and information rather than doing a field test myself.

Yes there are usable calories, but there is also bad for you to ingest bacteria. The risks are too high to try it in even survival situations. You're better off chewing on bark from a random tree.

tbh I'd probably recommend cannibalism before poop-eating

I like my poop well done, put in the oven at 475 for five hours, then turn down to 425 for another 3 hours.
