What do you plan on getting this weekend?

>> No.6074957

Hey I'm right here. Well I'm in Atlanta but I'm about to go get some Founders beers if that counts.

Also gonna pick up the new Terrapin ginger bread ale and Evil Twin's single hop molotov cocktail. The regular is my favorite IPA so I'm excited to try this.

Will probably get the weyerbacher quad and the new Founders stout also.

I've never had a strong maple beer. The flavor always gets lost during fermentation. Aging it in maple wood is a great idea though. They're definitely my favorite brewery, alongside evil twin. Can't wait for the Blushing Monk release next year.

>> No.6075534

I am right here mate

Founders, Khunhen, and Brewery Vivant are probably my favorites right now for Michigan breweries.

IPAs are my favorite style, but I enjoy drinking everything else as well.

This weekend I'm drinking Two Hearted, it was on sale for a few bucks cheaper than regular. Other than that I'm just drinking odds and ends of old six packs that I never finished.

I'm drinking a yum yum at the moment. Had a bomber of the cimmerian sabretooth berzerker the other day. it was fucking awesome. I just love how they blend the citrus and floral notes with the hopsy bite, without over doing either one.

Michibro here, and my go-to beer is Michigan made Bells Beer.

Locally, I like Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. on Chicago Rd. and Mound, though Dragonmead Brewery (11 Mile west of Groesbeck) has good beers but somewhat of a snooty atmosphere and Falling Down Beer Co. (10 Mile east of Dequindre) is pretty good also and they have the best food of the three.

>> No.6076831

I just had some of Bell's Two Hearted today and it was pretty good. I haven't had much of Bell's, but I'm pretty sure I had some sort of stout from them when I went to the Drafthouse in Kalamazoo, and I've been to the Eccentric Cafe too.

Just turned 21 recently so I'm a little new to Michigan craft beers. Some of Atwater is good, but it's pretty iffy with me though. Only been to Atwater in the Park when I was underage, but the food is pretty good there.

You can buy all of Bells and Founders best stuff in Wisconsin, you cannot buy Wisconsin's good stuff in Michigan. Plus you can buy Three Floyds real easily in Wisconsin and Surly and Toppling Goliath are expanding there currently, so pretty much all of the upper midwest's best stuff is available in Wisconsin plus a lot of great stuff made there

Now Michigan is about twice the size of Wisconsin, so assuming the places had equally good drinking cultures you would still expect Michigan to have more good breweries, but they are actually really close

Hey west coast bros (excluding Califags you aren't bros but I respect your beer). We've done more in industry, architecture, agriculture (and since then since crumbled) than you ever will.

Once those companies get big they don't care about the people or the land. They will leave you in ruins trying to rebuild or lock you in some monopolistic corporate hell if things keep going the way they're going.
