Hey coo/ck/s, I just wanted to ask you what your favorite pizza is.
Mine is a deep dish chicken jalapeno pizza.

My only problem with pizza margherita is the cheese. Some bites would be just tomato and crust. I'm not sure I like that at all. More mozzarella and fresh basil, you've got a deal.

So, you don't actually like the flavor of pizza, huh.

I mean, if you need to overwhelm it with all that shit, dude, you don't like pizza. You'd be better off with a sandwich. Seriously.

Margherita.

>> No.6065943

The best pizza I've had was the margherita at Smashing Tomato. They use wood-fired ovens that makes the crust better than any other I've had and when you opt for the crushed tomato sauce ("Smashed" sauce), that enhanced the texture even more. Said sauce also has chili oil and some other spices that I quite liked. Reminds me of the difference in adding some of those mini cans of diced tomato, pepper, and lime to your spaghetti sauce.

But, damn, I only ever want to one of their stores once (which may only exist in Lexington, KY), because my personal pizza was over $9 with tax and I still was hungry enough to get a Whopper on the way home.

I'm not too picky, though. Pan pizza with a thick, buttery crust and tons of toppings can be very satisfying. Usually I get supreme or meat lover's for these. Thin crust pizza with just green peppers and pepperoni is great for drinking food, as it doesn't fill you up too fast.

Still haven't tried Chicago deep dish. It's contentious enough a topic that I want to try it from a well-regarded place that specializes in it to see if the difference is really that noticeable for people to argue over whether it's even pizza or not.

Bacon
Mushroom
Pineapple (crushed, not chunks)
Regular pizza sauce, average thickness

Bacon and mushrooms bring god-tier levels of umami, pineapple balances sour from the tomato sauce. Crust is neither as thin and burnt as an Auschwitz survivor, nor as thick and fat as a Midwesterner.

Anyone who disagrees has shit-tier taste.

And to be truthful I'm not anti-American, far from it. I had carne asada in SoCal that was pretty much my perfect meal and a Porterhouse steak that was Heaven. It's just pizza dude, you guys just don't understand pizza. May be because your dairy industry has fucked your notion of cheese or the wheat you use is GM.
i was harsh, shouldn't of dropped the C bomb but believe me, American pizza is just bad.
