Here's what you do (I have taken loads of guys and girls out on dates in the Auburn and surrounding Areas):

1.) Don't use GPS -There is nothing more unattractive than being in a small town and not knowing where you are going. Study the maps and route before you leave the house. She will love this. Study what buildings you will pass and make up some stories past times that you have spent there. She will love this.

2.) Support your local businesses. I'm sure you will want to take her out to eat, so I advise resteraunts like Cock of the Walk(this is a perfect date place(works seriously every time I have tried it(guys and girls)) with this nice little pond out back you can roam about before or after your meals).

3.) Forget redbox and Netflux. These are so impersonal, and I cant believe anyone would think these would be a good idea for a date. Go to Hasting's or any local type experience you can have together. Walmart has some really great movie bundles if you're looking to save a buck though(don't tell him/her this(Make it seem like they are making this choice)). The type of movie you are looking for needs to set the mood(no action). Hugh Grant has a huge selection of movies that work perfect for these kinds of situations. Don't force this on your date though; ask them if they think it is a good choice first.

4.) Wine, and plenty of it. You are going to want at least 3 bottles at any given moment. Have 2 bottles in the fridge chilled and one in the rack. If you don't have a rack, get one. You are going to want a red wine for it is a known afrodeziac. Don't forget the chocalates too (prefereably a melted chocalate with some fruit(pineapple, strawberries, etc.) for dipping)

5.) Relax. Play it cool. Know your stories and know them well. You want at least 5 stories for any given situation. Don't be a blabber mouth though, have some questions prepared too. "How was the drive?" "Heard any new bands lately?" "Do you like Auburn?" etc.

Everyone I know just cooks the same few things and sticks with what they know.
I'm always trying to make everything a bit better than the last time. I'll try different spices, herbs, different amounts, different stock types, different rices, different pasta shapes, add odd bits to try it out.
