Garlic and onion powder.

I have never seen either of these in Europe. It seems to be an American thing, and is the spice used by Guy Fieri bro chefs who make 'gourmet nachos' and 'artisan bacon cheeseburgers'

I have seen those plentiful in german grocery stores.
They aren't used in most recipes tradionally though but heavily in industrial products.

I use garlic power mostly when I am too lazy to crush garlic while cooking only for myself.

I wholeheartedly agree. My previous chef tried to tell me black pepper = flavor, like that shit is necessary for everything. Salt, yes, but not black pepper.

> pumpkin spice
This shit makes me rage every time. I'm not even sure why. It just bothers me when, at this time of year, everyone wants to slap "pumpkin spice" on everything knowing damn well their clientele doesn't really know what that is.

I think cumin is underrated.
