I make meatloaf at work once a week. (Caregiver cooking for oldies).
I use 1/2 onion, three cloves of garlic, A1, an egg, about a cup of panko bread crumbs, ketchup, cumin, horseradish, oregano, celery seed, salt and pepper, cook for 40 minutes, add a glaze of 1/2 tsp cumin, 1tbsp honey, 1/2c ketchup, more A1, brown sugar, and dijon.

Nope. I've always just gone with ketchup because it was convenient.
