Are you retarded? That is not, she's doing ridiculous things that have no meaning and have never been taught. Like using tomato sauce and calling it homemade. Every cookbook from her era says tablespoon and teaspoon and cup, not "Cover half the surface." They also say medium or medium high not "6." Like cutting onions and garlic with a steak knife. Like burning garlic and onions and basil in boiling, literally boiling hot oil for absolutely no reason because she just throws them away. Like putting extremely hot oil in not so hot tomato sauce (That's not taught, that's how you start grease fires). Like getting rid of that oil anyways.

This isn't how they cooked "back in the day." She was just taught by someone who didn't know what they were doing. And the thing is she's clearly using this pitch a pilot for a series. She even says "After the break." She should at least have watched some cooking shows and saw that she was ridiculously out of touch
