what you're looking for is tobacco to pair with digestif alcohol; brandy, port, vermouth, herb liqueurs, etc, which you can in turn pair with what you just ate. I don't know enough about alcohol pairing so I can't help you any more, but you dn't really pair tobacco with food. that's just silly.

I smoke a pipe, well I used to, I haven't smoked in months. I have a few pipes, most of them Petersons, very good pipes but they need a little bit more maintenance. If you want to smoke a pipe you need to be prepared to take care of your pipes. They need to be cleaned with a pipe cleaner every time you've smoked it and should be cleaned properly with alcohol at least a few times a year, depending on how much you smoke. Also you should be aware that smoking a pipe is not like smoking cigarettes, you won't just "get" it right away, it's a real technique thing and it will take you a long time to develop technique to get an optimal smoking experience. Even after smoking for years you will get bad smokes at times, because that's the nature of pipe smoking. But I say go for it, it's a great hobby, and extremely relaxing.
