Is it more efficient to store each utensil on a different box in the dishwasher tray like pic related?

Would it affect how clean they come out?
It does seem more practical to store after.

How do you do it?

they can get stuck together leaving food trapped between them like that.
I try to keep them as normally random as possible, putting them in different sections and flipping half of them over.
only thing put them like that is going to help with is putting them in the drawer

When I was four, I climbed up on the counter top to get a cup from the cupboard. I got it just fine, to fill up with water from the refrigerator, so I jumped down.

I landed on a knife, with the blade sticking straight-up through the top of my wrist. I spent the next 6 hours in an emergency room.

Don't put your knives sharp side up.

I attempt to spread them out evenly between the compartments so that similar shapes (especially spoons) won't stick together, preventing cleaning.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, anon.

I was clearing our diswasher (we're 7) and just thought about it. Wanted to see how others did it.

What's a house idiot? Is that someone who doesn't know how to load a dishwasher?

I think a comma is easier to imagine than seven (7) human beings inside another one.

The only reason to segregate them is so they're easier to put them away. BUT you but them in HANDLE side UP because
a. The water streams from the bottom anyway, more water pressure.
b. So your grubby hands aren't touching the part people put their mouthes on when you put them away.

Butter knives ok, though.

If there are that many people then just use a soak tub. Let them soak in there for a while and then just shove them in the dishwasher any fricking way you want.
