I decided to make a bottle of wine. This is just out of boredom so I might not do it again.
What would be the easiest and cheapest way to crush grapes?
I will consider the traditional way of using feet, but I don't want to buy a large basin. I have a few ideas that involve using a roller or a pan, but they have a lot of flaws.
Any ideas?

Just one bottle? How many grapes will that take? It's a tough question.

How about: Two large bowls (from the same set so they fit into each other), half-fill one with grapes, put the other one on top, press, drain and repeat. You'd want to put the bowl-press in a washing up basin or angle it over a funnel or something, it could get messy.

I was thinking of a similar method, but with a plate pushing the grapes down. I think your idea wouldn't create a mess. I will consider using a bowl instead.
I don't know exactly how much grapes to get so in buying seven bags of grapes. If I have some left over its not a big deal.

This may seem like a wild idea to you, but what about a juicer

Crush them with a heavy object, preferably a large masher.
You can also ferment most of them uncrushed as long as they are covered by juice,
I don't recall the what this type of maceration is called,
but it works very well and gives the wine a distinct taste.

Juicers aren't the cheapest, but I will still look at them.

This method seems pretty easy. I will just buy a mallet. It shouldnt cost too much.

Blender and cheesecloth?

I'm trying to avoid the appliances. I'm in college so I have to shove everything in a storage room for the summer so the less stuff the better. I am using a cheesecloth for removing the skins and seeds.

Are you crushing wine grapes or something you grew? If you're planning on crushing supermarket grapes, I'd say skip it and just get grape juice.
