It annoys me to no end how the Japanese decorate their food with this weird plastic grass shit. That does not look appetizing, it looks moronic.
Also, I absolutely love the taste of japanese food, but it always came across to me as a reflection of the Japanese perfectionist, but very sheepish mindset. It's an extremely rigid, by-the-book cuisine that requires an extreme amount of skill, but absolutely zero creativity.

In Japanese cuisine, everything (originally) had a purpose.

Raw food like sashimi was placed on bamboo or other types of leaves that are known to have anti-bacterial properties. But after plastic and modern medicine came to Japan, the cheaper restaurants opted for the more practical plastic leaves.

Baran-zaiku (cutting the leaves into patterns) is a special skill that is sometimes tested in sushi competitions in Japan.

Japanese television. There are also quite a few female rights bloggers in japan who have a much more accurate number than what the police report. Give me a minute to try and find it, my japanese is horrible and my girlfriend isn't here to assist me.

Supposedly from that second link Japan's rapes have heavily dropped due to the increase in availability of pornographic material.

If that's the case we can only assume that SK has the rape stats of a sub-saharan war zone and their numbers are completely wrong.

Not what I took from it at all. I understood it to imply that Japanese porn culture has desensitized men to rape and thus rape reports are no longer taken seriously.

SK doesn't have much of a rape problem from what I've seen. There are a lot of prostitutes though. Like, a LOT. Keeps the tourists happy.

From what I've gathered, yes. This has been postulated in numerous studies. Porn desensitizes people and forces you to seek stronger and stronger stimuli to achieve the same chemical release in your mind. A study in Germany this year showed that people who watch significant amounts of porn are much more likely to engage in violent sexual activity. VICE did an article on it if you feel like googling.

So I had beef negimaki and age tofu from a local Japanese place last night. It is not the greatest place, but it is 10 minutes from my house and it is better than Chinese takeout. The negimaki was disappointing, I wasn't expecting the scallions in it to be so bitter, and all in all it wasn't super flavorful though it certainly wasn't bad. Look almost exactly like pic related.

Wow, I just watched that series again just recently.

I had no idea that Attack No.1 was still popular in Japan. Is that only something that old people still enjoy, or the younger generation too?

And where was that comic exhibition held, and what is it called?

The original picture of many writers was displayed at the exhibition. The ability of comic artists of the 20th century was overwhelming, and it was splendid. However, as for them, photography is not admitted.
"ベルサイユのばら" was a masterpiece of the marguerites of the 70s.
It became the animated cartoon later. However, a musical greatly influenced the Japanese society than an animated cartoon.
The musical is not a product for children.
The musical is a product for adults. And it was the pioneer that comics were recognized as culture of adult.

Can someone explain to me how the Japanese are able to cook like 10 different things to fit into their lunch box? Doesn't that get kinda expensive since you're cooking so many things in small batches?

I'm not complaining or anything, I love bento boxes when I go out for Japanese food where I get tempura, sushi, teriyaki chicken and a salad. But I can't imagine cooking so many different foods every day.

Most commonly, homemade bento is made from leftovers. Home prep of fresh bento is just about dead.
When it is, however, made fresh, it's an arduous and pain-in-the-fuckhole task. You know how in the US, kids in school can get picked on or admired for their choice of clothing (since the US largely lacks uniforms for state-run schools)? Well, in Nipville, kids can get picked on or admired for the intricacy (or lack thereof) of the lunch mummy has packed them, especially amongst girls.

When made fresh, most of the dishes are actually simple to prepare things so the painstaking parts are all spent only on the presentation. If ya don't give half a fuck about presentation, you can, of course, just have tasty food and be done with it but as Nip culture, despite all their emphasis on humility and blah blah blah, is perhaps the most outer-focused culture on the planet, concerned more with appearance than anything else, even down to the point of what they're eating.

Source: Nip family fucking drives me mad with this sort of shit.

The sausage which I cut in the form of the octopus. An omelette. The frozen food that I can raise in a neighborhood. Even the man who does not usually cook can make some bento with those combinations.
And a Japanese housewife is able.
In dinner, it was natural to cook the dish for the tomorrow's lunch. And, at the time when the dynasty was short, the wife did various addition and made a splendid bento.
I feel the unknown matter to be difficult in anyone.
However, anyone can easily deal with an everyday matter.
It is such a thing.
