Hello /ck/, I'm not really poor but I bought a can of spam, been curious. I know I could just fry it up and make a basic sandwich but I want to know what you guys think. Give me suggestions please, I have kitchen stuff and some food, and if something sounds good I can buy more ingredients, was gonna make something with it tomorrow so any input would be nice, thanks yall.

Slice thin and fry it.

Cube it then fry it and put it in mac & cheese.

Whatever you do, DON'T ADD SALT TO ANYTHING YOU COOK WITH SPAM.

People make the rookie mistake of salting food when they cook with spam. It has so much salt that your whole dish will be fine without adding any.

That said, spam and eggs isn't bad. You can put it on toast or just plain bread.

I usually get regular spam and hot n spicy spam.

Pan fry a slice of each, toast an english muffin. Put cheez whiz on both slices of muffin. Then make a sandwhich with the english muffin and spam.

make budae jjigae, army hot pot
you need to cut up your spam into slices and also diagonally cut some hot dogs or other sausages, green onion, onion, whatever mushroom you like, block tofu, and if you can get your hands on it, rice cake and kimchi

make some broth using a pot full of chicken broth mixed with a thick spoonful or more of kochujang (you can find this shit at any Asian store, it's the most popular Korean ingredient in existence, but in a pinch hipster ketchup and miso or corn starch is your nearest substitute), a tbsp of crushed garlic, a tbsp of sesame oil, tsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of soy sauce, little bit of rice wine or sherry. bring the soup to a boil, toss in the dry ingredients. you can also toss in ramen noodles or poach an egg. if you have an asian goods store near you it's a fairly cheap dish, really good in the winter and somewhat healthy but for the sodium
