I made something that made sense in reality but in my mind made no sense.

I toasted some bread, prepared some meat with sloppy joe mix (out of laziness), cut some onion, shredded some cheese, and cut up some bacon.

Then I placed some onion on two pieces of toast, put some sloppy joe mix on top of it, sprinkles shredded cheese on it, and then sprinkled cut up bacon on it.

Tasted great, probably is going to kill me, and made more sense than it did when I made it.

My first attempt at pan searing anything.

cut from a beef tenderloin.

seasoned with some cinnamon, chipotle chili powder, thyme, some pepper, and sea salt.

deglazed the pan with some apple cider vineger and worcestershire sauce. added some garlic powder. didnt put as much of the sauce on as i should have.

was pretty damn good.

I think it could do with some basting. Remember that the rarity/doneness of a steak isn't measured by how many mm of the steak is well done compared to how many mm of the steak is red, but how the colour of the (cooked) steak is as a whole, apart from the crust. This is why people get autistic about the 'brown line'. Anyway, looks like you got a great sear on it.
