I love bacon, but nothjng good usually comes from these threads. Why not make it focused around different recipes involving bacon and maybe different kinds of bacon? When I was young my grandpa used to cook pepper bacon. Probably my favorite kind.


I also like side pork, which is uncured bacon.

This has a pretty nice use of bacon up the fat content of ground meat. I made the recipe with ground beef instead of lamb and actual tatziki sauce and it was pretty damn good.

There's actually a lot of very good vegetarian cuisine out there, both as parts of existing national cuisines and as entirely vegetarian cuisines in heavily vedic or buddhist areas.

The problem with modern western vegetarian food is that it focuses too much on ideology by trying to imitate familiar foods to ease people in transitioning from a meat based diet.

"vegan hot dogs", "vegan cheese", "vegan hamburgers," etc. All these things are abominations,
