I recently moved to the UK from Canada. What's the closest product/recipe I can get to making something Kraft Dinner-like? What kind of cheese/macaroni would work best? Much thanks!

Go to ASDA.
Acquire cheese slices/singles. They come ten to a pack.
Remove two from their individual plastic sleeves and cut them into bits.
Heat a tad of cream and a tad of milk in a saucepan over low flame to just under boiling.
Add the singles and stir about until well 'corporated.
Keep cooking, stirring occasionally, until reduced and thick, but still a tad goopy.
Stir in shredded proper cheese/s, such as cheddar and/or caerphily (which is slightly tangy).
Toss with cooked mac and enjoy.

First off, nobody here calls them baguettes. They just call it "french bread"

Second, mayo, lettuce, pickles & maybe mustard are standard. Tomato isn't as popular with cajuns as they are with creoles. Remoulade sounds nice, but it isn't the norm. I eat po'boys every day, for every meal, so I should know. ;)
