In and Out is overrated shit.

u mad calishits?

>> No.5619150

it's really good as far as fast food burger joints go, at least that's been the case whenever I've gone there

not mad

I'm fully convinced that people love the shit out of In-N-Out mostly because they like to pretend it's somehow some "exclusive regional thing" just because the franchise isn't McDonald's huge.

Just like Five Guys.

...I do love me some Whataburger though.

It's OK, but to call it "fast" food is laughable given every fucking one of these restaurants I've been in has been absolutely packed no matter what time of day, so you're stuck waiting 20 minutes for your food. Not shit, but overrated is right.

I went back to the midwest recently, and had to fucking laugh my ass off at seemingly an entire city of people who will pay $10 and wait a half hour for a "fast" food lunch. I mean ... seriously? Fucking seriously? That defeats the entire fucking purpose! Go to a bar and get a fucking bar burger, it'll be cheaper, faster and it'll taste better.

>> No.5619514

Went to In-n-Out for the first time last week while I was in Dallas.

Undeniably THE top tier burger joint.

Five Guys was up there, but It is both worse and more expensive than In-n-Out.

FUCKING THIS.

Never seen anyone post about the habit on /ck/. That is my shit. Priced about the same as In-N-Out but a lot more menu options and all delicious as fucking balls.

>> No.5620053

As a Californian, agreed.

>> No.5620073

Its a $3.50 burger, what the fuck do you expect. At least its decent quality and good tasting, and you can always expect the restaurant to be clean, unlike fucking mcdonalds or burger king.

>> No.5620097

Five guys to me comes off as the type of burger that you would grill in your own back yard, just a little bit greasier. I love their cajun fries and how they will fill your entire bag up with fries, and also that they have more sodas to choose from than any restaraunt in my city.

They're kind of like a southern fusion restaurant if you consider cajun spiced fries and like 30 different choices of soda a southern thing.

Double meat, double cheese, banana peppers, grilled onions, 1000 island, fresh veggies.

For under $4, that kicks ass. True a few places make a better burger, but it usually costs double.

There's a few of these around DFW now, it's great.

Filling up the entire bag with fries makes people think "oh, they're being generous by giving us free food! What a swell move!" when in reality they're still gouging you with their exorbitant prices

i know i'm stating the obvious. 5 guys is still a rip.

its usually like 11$ for a burger, a drink, and alot of fries.

A typical price at a fast food chain like wendy's or mcdonalds is anywhere from 6-9$

its really not that much more expensive.

>> No.5620243

>>5620182

went to their online ordering and ordered a cheeseburger, reg fries/drink and it came out to 13 bucks, pre-tax.

For 13 bucks that just isn't fastfood anymore, chief.

The habit is like, what, 7 bucks for the cheeseburger combo.

I never really understood stuff like this too much. The USA is fucking massive and most of the states are larger than European countries. If you equate state to country then I live like 8-9 countries away from California. That's like 1,800-2,000 miles (2,896-3,218km).

Does the OP live near California or something? I assume OP lives in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, or Texas since that is where other I&O places are located other than California.

I had to respond. I was stationed in CA. Sacramento. It's a big state Most people... you say california they say la,. hollywood san fran, diego.venice beach or malibu, ba ha or oakland and true. but go north and not la la land. nice people, average communities, like anywhere.
I guess a few things that startled me was how ... vast, how nice most people were, and a few other things (you could buy liquor in a convenience store, but not cold beer. up north, it is sometimes foggy but nice. Not everyone in san fran is gay, sausilito has better seafood than fishermans warf, bring money and if driving, pay attention what lane you are in. kinda hard to cut across 6-8 lanes of traffic. I never ate at in-out. kind of like fudruckers or red robin, i guess. love it or hate it . I live in NC, turn it endwise, thats CA. a big place

A cheeseburger at Five Guys has two patties in it. The little cheeseburger, with only one patty, is almost two dollars cheaper.

The Habit though is certainly better than Five Guys in both pricing and food.

>> No.5623795

Five Guys is godly only for their cajun fries, I am euphoric when eating them. Their burgers are meh, above average I suppose since you can get exactly the toppings you want. Better than in n out though.
