Wtf are you trying to say? My bf manages a bar so I'm at a bar every other day... I'm gonna try to answer, though. These 2 girls came in the other night and wanted a drink with a can of redbull floating upside down in it an all I could think was "hey bartender, can I get a dirty can in my drink?"

>>5614731
True, as well as some red wines. I don't know which because I'm an avid whiskey enthusiast and only ever tried wine when my mom forced me to.

A friend of mine is convinced that women only ever drink red wine because at some point in their lives a man either forced them to drink it or picked it up as a form of imitation.

Somewhat valid in my experience.

I don't think they have the same interest of taste as most men, they probably favour it over beer because it may have fewer calories or because they look sexy/classy/sophisticated sipping a glass of wine.

What do you think of white wine?
Once every summer my uncle and my brothers and I buy a couple of bottles of nice but cheap white and fill a pitcher with two thirds wine, a handful of ice and about a quarter iced water. Roman style. Much happiness.

Well the only exception to the theory that I know of is my mom. I work in a restaurant (surprise, surprise, posting in an alcohol thread while drunk), and that's where my friend intimated his theory to me.

As long as I've been able to retain memory, my mom has drank red wine (usually Merlot), about 2-3 glasses a night beginning with dinner. My father, while they were married and to my knowledge after their divorce, did not touch alcohol with a 10 foot pole.

In my opinion, white wine is disgusting, but again, that's my mom's influence speaking. I imagine her attitude towards white wines is almost exactly how my attitude towards bourbon whiskey is.

That being said, when the occasion calls for it, my mother will drink scotch whisky with me and our family.
