A lot of people that "don't like beer" or have never tried getting into craft/micro beer will drink stuff like PBR, Bud Light, etc. and they enjoy it. It really doesn't have much flavor, and drinks like water, so it's as unoffensive as possible. Add in a small amount of alcohol and people will guzzle it because it's cheap.

Seriously this shit is delicious and has the most efficient dollar/alcohol ratio of any booze if you get the big jug. During the Summer I like to drink it the Ancient Roman way, 3/4 wine 1/4 ice cold water. Shit is delicious, refreshing and incredibly intoxicating.

no, killians is different in that it only refers to one specific beer, whereas sweet water produces a number of different beers. hell, many bars that stock sweet water have a number of different beers by sweet water, and so if you try to order "a sweet water", they'll look at you like you're retarded and ask you to specify.

also, if i'm not mistaken, killian's (in north america anyway) is brewed by coors. so asking for a "sweet water" would be similar to asking for a coors and expecting a killian's

A screwdriver is hard to pair with most foods beyond breakfast, and morning drinking is pretty degenerate. It's really a drinking to get drunk kind of drink. Sugar + alcohol is generally a bad mix, and vodka is the crack of alcohol.

PBR may be a shitty, mass produced beer, but it does pair well with food. It goes well against BBQ and cook out grilling type meals. It'll go perfectly against a hot dog or bratwurst with some potato salad. It's surprisingly good with Chinese food, too.

A beer snob will reject it immediately because it tastes like cut corners (hop oil used in lieu of actual hops). But a fancy IPA will obliterate most foods, the same way a California Zinfindel or most cocktails will. For a low end beer PBR is a reasonable choice for pairing with food.

In the US it is neutral alcohol watered down no lower than 40% abv. Vodka is the shittest of spirits, I'd cut out the middle man and just drink neutral. Maybe in yurope vodka is made like normal, but it can't be sold as vodka here unless it's watered down neutral.

I like pbr because it's the soda of beers. I usually have a good hipster beer while cooking, then when I sit down to eat I have a pabst. If I want to get drunk I drink box wine which is better and cheaper than vodka.
