So this guy went on Kickstarter because he needed 10 dollars to make a potato salad. But instead of getting the 10 dollars he asked for, he's gotten NEARLY 37000 DOLLARS!

The mind boggles, but strangely enough, I feel an urge to support this GLORIOUS SALAD.

ALL HAIL THE MOST EXPENSIVE POTATO SALAD EVER MADE BY SOME DUDE.

So what are your thoughts on this? Think we can replicate the results with an egg-roll?

What? No it's not.
Kickstarter has only three rules. You have to make something to share with others, it has to be honest and clearly presented, and it can't be for charity, offer financial incentives, or be for a prohibited item (food in general is not on this list)
So there's literally nothing wrong with him asking for money to make potato salad as long as he's straightforward about it. And judging from the stretch goals he does have intention to share (since he's renting out a fucking party hall at this point)
