In-N-Out has this odd smell to me, smells like vomit. Whenever I go there, you can smell it in the parking lot. The same smell permeated the McDonalds parking lot too. Both of those places smell like puke to me. In-N-Out is an okay burger place, but the smell is a huge turnoff. Now don't get me wrong, in and out is no gourmet paradise but everyone who shits on it does nothing but use buzzwords cause they wanna appear edgey, and highclass, and shit.

Straight up its the most well balanced FAST FOOD burger. Their straight burger ain't nothing special but a double double with grilled onions shits on whoppers, big macs, and Six dollar burgers let and right

Why is In and Out Praised? First off they always get your order right. Im not a picky eater myself, but my brother and mother are picky. My bro asks for no sauce, no tomatoes, and grilled onions. My ma always asks for both grilled and fresh onion, pickles, and mustard. Never heard either of them complain about a wrong order and both of them are drama queens, my brother just wont eat his food and my mom will make a bug fuss about it.

Second, and why I say theyre well balanced they actually put a substantial amount of lettuce, onions, and tomato on your burger so you have something other than meat and bread hitting you're taste buds giving the relatively thin patties (compared to CJ's or most local chains), and the american cheese something to bounce off of.

They put thousand island on your burger by default, but they don't glob it on, its just enough to round out your bite with hint of relish, a bit of ketchup-y spice, and putting a little moisture on the bun.

I'll be straight, if you're looking for mega meaty burger, this probably ain't your spot. But honestly all their food is modular, so you can ask for a triple burger with no veg if you wanted too.

The fries? You can see them cutting potatoes in the back, and they DON'T ADD SALT. So salt you fries when you first get them so the salt adheres to fries, I personally don't need salt but hey, I actually like the taste of potatoe.

Whataburger is the best fast food burger chain. In-N-Out was introduced where I live and I was really excited to try it out due to all the west coast hype. It was pretty good but not anywhere near the hype. The burger patties were too small and easily overpowered by the bun. You pretty much have to order a double to taste the meat, not that it's that good anyway. Whataburger has better tasting meat, much more variety in burgers, better buns, better aesthetic, just overall better burgers.

To those of you saying In and Out is bad, you must live near a shitty one or something. I'm a huge burger fan, and I think that for the price, it's goddamn good. Also, how are you ordering your burgers? Basic recipe is ok, but modifying it just a bit can provide a burger of superior value. I usually go with three patties, three slices of cheese, tomatoes, onion, grilled onion, lettuce, pickles, chopped peppers, and double sauce. this comes out to under five dollars, and it's huge.
