Both are pretend Mexican food. One deosn't care whether you think it's trash, the other spends lots of money on feel good campaigns to try to convince you it isn't. But it is.

I guess Chipotle is perfect for people who want to eat fast food, but convince themselves the fast food they're eating is somehow a little bit better than other fast food, and are willing to pay for that privilege.

But to me it looks like a case of lowered expectations. What you're paying for is hope in your fake Mexican food. I live in Canada and there are no Chipotles in my city. I've been there before and it was good, but there are lots of Chipotle-like restaurants or clones that are pretty much identical.

I'm not sure why people are so upset at the popularity. It must be the whole "reverse contrarian square-hipster" phenomenon, where people who claim to hate hipsters and take pride in their mainstream appeal invariably rail against things that have new-found popularity (sriracha, Chipotle).

Close, but not correct.

Viral marketing is marketing that is spread in a peer network by combining it with something that users share with their friends. It's "viral" because peers spread it to each other--like a viral disease.

However I don't see anything here that's so cool I just have to send it to all my buddies--and I doubt that you or anyone else does either. So it's clearly not viral because it's not spreading.

- White rice, ask for extra
- Pinto beans
- 1/2 chicken
- 1/2 steak
(they rush orders so you'll typically end up with a double serving of meat instead of half/half, without paying more)
- Fajita veggies
- Tomatillo sauce

- Lettuce

Order this as a burrito bowl and you will get a shitload of food.
