You have to realize the difference between mass marketed commercial foods in the US, and actual food in the US. In the same store as that junk, I can also use an actual peanut butter (and almond butter) grinder to grind fresh peanut butter that's just pure ground roasted peanuts (salted or unsalted). Not everyone eats sugary, preservative laden peanut butter.

Nah, I haven't eaten any of those in years and years. Even back before there were grinders in most stores, I'd buy peanut butter from brands like Adams or Laura Scudder, which are 100% peanut, no additive peanut butters. Natural, non-additive peanut butters have always been around, I remember my mom buying them when I was a little kid in the eighties.

A few years back, I heard that Velvet Peanut Butter (a local Detroit brand from back in the day) was back in business but
