Medium olive oil for all cooking, including baking. Fuck the haters, it performs excellent in almost all applications, and is healthier than almost all of the alternatives.

Also OP you appear to have posted pictures of a plate of schnitzels.

heat your roasting pan in the oven while you parboil with a little oil, when you pour your potatoes in they'll sizzle and start to crisp up on the outside

give them a turn and a good, firm jostle halfway through to make sure one side doesn't stay soggy

i let mine stand on a wire rack for the last five minutes in the oven to make sure they're not oily

i'm not that guy, but i make ok potatoes i think

1) parboil potatoes
2) drain them, then shake the potatoes so the outside gets a little dinged up. This makes the lovely crispy bits on the outside.

Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed in you /ck/. I just wanted to let you know about light olive oil, that it has a mild flavor and high smoke point.

I really don't understand where all the anger and argument comes from. Light olive oil simply has a milder flavor with a higher smoke point, there's no point in debating this. I just wanted you to know this so you aren't uninformed about the food you eat. I really love you and wish things could've worked out. Goodbye.
