Not that other guy, but depending on what I was using it for: top off, bottom off, cut down the side, knife along the inside to take off all the pith and seeds, leave yourself with one big rectangle of pepper if you're julienning or dicing. Alternatively, you can cut from the top down, perpendicular to the radius, leaving the stem & seed thing in tact, give yourself 3 or 4 triangular segments of pepper with minimal cleaning required afterwards since 90% of the seeds should be attached to the core. But again, it all depends on what you're using them for. Hell, if you really want to, you can just cut the top off and scoop the seeds out and leave yourself with a cup of pepper. Pretty much the only way I wouldn't cut a bell pepper is the way shown in that picture.

I like to do it one handed. The trick for me is to puncture it with my thumb to the base of the nail, then just bend it and the egg comes apart.

The membrane ensures that the small pieces of egg shell stays together. No need to do it the fancy one handed way.
