No theme, just food we like. Chicken or beef, chourico and peppers, a simple garden salad, my stepdads homemade mac and cheese, red garlic mahsed potatos, and some other veggies. Cheap and simple, mad good.

Non married, I can dream though.

I want to get married in a big pool hall with a full bar and a bourbon fountain. I'd want everyone to dress like they usually do, no need to dress up you can come in a t shirt. The food would be half pot luck and half stuff I provide. We'd provide the main meats, something like smoked brisket or fajitas, and a few sides and cake for everybody, but I'd set up a table so everybody could bring their own dishes to share. I'd have somebody grilling burgers outside too.

I'd want my wedding to be more of a laid back celebration than a stiff feeling ceremony. Probably why I'm not married, grills seem to be averse to the idea.

Yes.
No theme, we just had good food.
Cheese Table w/ fruit, crackers and breads
Salad with blackberries, candied walnuts, feta and a champagne citrus dressing
Lemon Rosemary Chicken
Prime Rib
and some side dishes I can even remember. It's been too long ago now.
We were so "stunned" I guess is the word, after the wedding, and talking to all the people, I barely remember the food. I remember the prime rib and the salad were really good, and the cheese table looked amazing.

>Was there a buffet at your wedding?

Nope. There was no food at all. It was in a courthouse, done by a judge in like 10 minutes (apart from all the prior paperwork).

Then we went home and had a sex marathon.

The theme was Southern homecooking. We started with a wine and cheese spread, then had BBQ pulled pork sliders, ribs, corn, cornbread, greens, mashed potatoes, a build-your-own mac and cheese buffet with toppings for dinner. I ended up putting more stuff on my taters than the mac and cheese. Our wedding cake was red velvet, but we had chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with buttercream to hand out. No fondant either, cause shit's nasty. We also had a build-your-own-sundae bar with toppings and cheerwine or root beer or coke for floats. My wife surprised me with a groom's cake that had Spiderman on it, shit was so cash. 10/10 would marry again

Yes.

Been to many weddings. Best ever was a buddy from Newfoundland who did a halibut fish and chips w/ coleslaw buffet, all made fresh and done proper east coast style.

Genius in it's simplicity. Nothing beats hand battered halibut after a few beers.
