So /ck/, what's your /ck/ related achievement so far?

> using chopstick with my right hand (I'm left handed)
> survive in a house without fridge for 2 weeks
> skip dinner for 2-3 days every week (for half of the year)

>> No.5434131

How do you survive without a fridge? I'm in a similar situation and would like to know more.

before of all, background story:
>move out
>our new house is not ready yet (still on renovating)
>our old house already rented for coffee shop
>need temporary shelter
>a relative allowed us to stay on her abandoned small house
>mfw the electricity is somewhat not sufficient for fridge
>live on the house only with TV, lightning, and heater available

thankfuly the haouse is near farm market, so we shop fresh food ingredients almost every day. always fresh meat and fresh bread (which is lasts for 4 days). the main problem is the milk. it survives only 30-48 hours after it opened. so we cut milk consumption, which is mean no cereal for breakfast. our daily food now is around sandwich/salad for breakfast, and pasta or rice for dinner. we had lunch outside.

i had a puffy taco for the first time. i heard of them on food network years ago, finally got a chance to try one. i was underwhelmed, the shell was too greasy for me. other than that, the filling and everything else about the meal was great. would visit the restaurant again, but not get puffy tacos

not really, as i never have all the ingredients on hand/am broke as fuck. but i've picked up lots of tips as someone who has never really cooked before, from pan frying chicken to scrambling awesome eggs to cooking the perfect rice and frying it up. probably some more stuff not at the top of my head, but at least half of my time here is not wasted.
