Is wheat worse than other cereals like rye, oats or spelt nutrition wise? Is whole wheat flour worse than the one of other whole grains (I am not talking about white flour)? The only thing I found is that wheat seems to have a little less soluble fiber (which slows digestion down more than insoluble fiber) than rye for example, but nothing outstanding. I cannot find any scientific papers or books covering this issue properly. Does anyone have reliable sources on this subject? Please no pseudoscience books or websites. Thanks.

It contains over 23,000 dangerous pathogens

Not if you're getting whole wheat flour, no.

Oh what the fuck. Congrats on giving my first dose of human disgust for the morning anon. Shit, how can people be that fucking ridiculous? Can you imagine what it must be like to live inside one of those person's brains? Where they literally consider wheat to be full of pathogens and similar to a narcotic?

Why don't people get as upset about peanuts? A lot more people are a lot more violently allergic to them than they are to wheat. Why aren't we alarmist against peanuts?

Anaphylaxis is not that insidious.

There was a girl around here a few years back with a peanut allergy and she went to a birthday party and everyone knew she was allergic to peanuts and not to give them to her but it turned out the grandmother was baking a batch of peanut butter cookies in the same oven the day before and she died on the spot after a bite of cake.

Sounds pretty fucked up to me. More fucked up than celiac disease.

I mean you can say that people with that severe an allergy should just die but I could say the same thing about people with celiac disease and if it is wheat that is the villain with celiac disease I don't know why peanuts get a pass.

Chronic, unresolved GI issues in a significant portion of the population is more concerning than extremely rare deaths caused by anaphylaxis brought on by food allergies.

Real deaths are a bit more scary than a lot of people's made up gastric diseases. For the small percentage of people who DO actually suffer from celiac disease it a pretty huge non-issue compared to either dying of other food allergies or even other common alimentary canal ailments such as colitis and other shit.

Not really. The ~150 that die every year in America from food allergies are a drop in the bucket compared to the loss of quality of living and economic impacts of chronic, unidentified GI issues.

This is what I thought too, but do you know if there is any scientific work about this?

In what ways are you asking if wheat is worse than something else?

Hahahahaha. Using naturalnews.com as a cite.

Wheat is a very nutritious food high in fiber. Like most cereal grains. Unless you lack a certain set of genes to properly metabolize the protein, it's very healthy.

Wheat and other glutinous grains being made into a folk demon is ridiculous. There really is no science you can find that will say that wheat is worse than any other grain. Perhaps less nutritious than others, but not really "worse" in any true sense, for anyone but a celiac.
