No-additive-except-fruit Porridge for breakfast every day master race yo.
Inherited the amazing habit from my uncle. Blueberries and a cut up apple make for 6-8 hours of top morning mood.
Currently trying to can the coffee. Easier said than done :(

1 fairly big bowl is enough for me.
Don't restrict yourself though, it's not a food that will leave you feeling hungry 20 minutes later.
I love how raw and anti-commercial porridge is. It's like cracking the secret breakfast code :-)
A big vege/meat optional omelette is nearly as good for the same reasons

Why stop coffee?

I could switch to just black tea easily, but why not coffee, don't see what's wrong with it.

>one dollar bags of frozen berries from dollar store
>add to oatz while cooking

I needed this in my life. All those years, wasted.

Usually just cinnamon raisin. No sugar, ever. Splash-a-milk.

Currently enjoying a bowl of oats with natural PB and raisins.

I've only ever used quick oats before, tell me, what is the texture of steel-cut oats like? Is it very different?

chewier, nuttier, thicker, many people find it more satisfying. I prefer rolled oats though.

If you want to try steel-cut without buying a bunch, Jamba Juice sells 'em for breakfast.

They're more satisfying to me.

I keep rolled oats (not quick-cook; those are too flimsy) around so I can dry-toast them in my frying pan, then dump 'em in a bowl with some butter or some cream.

It's heavenly.

Morning oats is about as American as you can get

My first introduction to oats was steel cut. I got really used to them

Then I tried rolled oats. Oh my fucking god. They're like 20000x better. I still like steel cut from time to time but damn.

I'm a big hot cereal fan. My favorite's gotta be oat bran.

i'd say 4.
