Was drinking all day yesterday. Got kicked out of the first bar I went to. Went to see an ex at the restaurant she waits at. I've been mixing this into various drinks. It goes well with Irish tea and yerba mate. Also goes great with lemon-lime sodas or ginger ales. It adds a nice caramel vanilla flavor.

For only $12 it's a damn good mixer. While drinking it straight is tolerable I would rather sip on something else. It would make an excellent substitution for those times when people want to get drunk quickly with shots of disgusting cheap vodka/tequila.

My dad used to drink a lot, but was never an alcoholic. Just the typical "has some drinks after work" guy.

But my mom.. oh my god. What a worthless human being.

At some point, I don't even really know, she just drank every single night. Always after 3pm, but never before. Vodka bottles everyday. Nothing my brother and I said could stop her; even going so far as to literally lock her in the house, take her keys, her license, her money/card. She just keep doing it.

Now I just wish she was dead honestly. Mostly because I hate her for the life she forced me and my brother to live; but also because I think it would just be a better life to be dead then a black-out no memory having human.

I was doing this for the last few years, I had a "I'm just going to do this" moment last week and I've been pretty successful so far. Ok so I got drunk twice but that's twice in an entire week. That means five full days of no drinking. The trick is to look at it like smoking (which I had to quit a few times before it stuck). Just look at those failures like accidents, you're still sticking to the plan.

We'll see how it works out, all my friends and coworkers are constantly badgering them to drink with them and I'm getting tired of staying home and watching netflix. But it's a small accomplishment, the least drunk I've been in years.

It's kind of hard to prove. I actually don't drink that much any more, but at my worst that is how much I was drinking daily. My skin was and discolored and my shit was black as night. I barely ate because I was drinking so much. Luckily I never really got hangovers because I drank a ton of water every day, but drinking that much is a chore.

By the way, I have tried AA, but the people were so goddamn annoying I couldn't take it. I have just cut back my drinking to once or twice a month.

Feels good, but I feel bad for feeling good about that. If there were only one liquor store in my town I'd have to order it online. its literally the only one in my area, and I don't drive so I can't just go across the river where there's a bunch (even so that would be a lot of work when I go through so much so soon)

plus its right next to my job, so I grab my bottle and walk home right after work.

really, I don't mind that they know how much I drink. like I said, its a liquor store. I'm not the only alcoholic there. I kinda like that I roll in and they already know what I want.

its just...judge me if you want, but I'm bringing you business, you don't actually have to say it out loud or laugh in my face ya cunt.

If you drink a gallon of liquor, you'll need a lot more than a gallon of water to return to normal. Not to mention time.

What kind of broscience equation did you do to come up with 1:1?

Well, most people drink a lot LESS than 1:1 (aka they drink way more booze than water) so at least 1:1 is better than people's usual habits. Also its kind of hard to drink more than a gallon of water at a time unless you don't mind risking hypokalemia.

I have a neighbor who I see on the train every day who looks respectable. one day I saw his face on the shoplifters photos by the register. every time I see him now, I pity him. shoplifting liquor and getting caught. how low can you go. I see him as a worm now, not even a person.

being the alcoholic regular who spends too much money on booze is not quite at the same level as that, but I don't want to be that guy in anyone's eyes.

okay thats fine that you don't wanna be that guy but I still feel somewhat respectable about it. I don't steal. I don't anything weird. I have a job, I work everyday to make my money and I always have enough to pay for my booze.

I just go in, late afternoon/evening, after leaving work, like okay gonna grab my bottle and go home and relax.

so even when you say something like "spends too much money on booze", its like, yeah spending any money on it is too much in a realistic sense. I don't need to be spending anything on it. BUT I have the money for it, so who is anyone to say I shouldn't or that I'm spending too much on it.

I feel like I'm a pretty normal and functioning alcoholic, I just happen to enjoy, maybe require a large quantity. I guess these fucks wouldn't judge if I just grabbed a 6-pack of beer every day but I can't help that.
