What does /ck/ think about MSG?

>> No.5204975

It's good, glutamate is essential for the body

>> No.5204992

Not very much at all.

>> No.5204995

I have nothing against it, but do not add it to my food in powdered form. I do enjoy foods rich in it, like mushrooms, tomatoes and some aged cheeses.

It's evil, trust me.
>don't say you were not looking for this bait...

>> No.5205069

Its fucking delicious don't listen to the propaganda

>> No.5205486

It's a pretty nice arena.

this is as bad as the chinese restaurant syndrome bullshit. we produce glutamate. we don't actually need to eat it.

>> No.5205710

I use it as a salt substitute. Muh arteries, and I'm hypertensive at 25 and a bmi of 17. I don't need no freaking drugs, shove it doctors, and by shove it I mean don't.

>> No.5205730

If I eat something with lots of MSG it makes the skin on the roof of my mouth itch and peel.

>> No.5205734

>>5204975
w-will you be my glutamate?

>> No.5205743

Glutamic acid da best.
I don't use straight msg very much though. I mean there's soy sauce, fish sauce, worcestershire, mayo, bacon, tomato, egg white, so many more complex, natural things already high in glutamates.

I love the umami it adds to food.

>> No.5206061

It's monosodium glutamate. If you can't eat it avoid it. but it's everywhere its everywhere. then it's incumbent on YOU to to look out for yourself a bit. just a tiny bit. like gaelic,um,garlic, with me. or some beers. And you can get sensitised/desensitized over time (or thyme).or garlic /ramps. I am very lucky. o+ blood, common as dirt, and can eat virtually any thing. Celiac, lactose intolerant etc, it's real to them. except... some beer( I learned to love bud hurricane- you gimme a "hoppy" ipa, I can't walk the next day. gout.) wine is the same yet different. big reds no problem, even port, and some dry sherries.(limited), ok dark or sweet rum, sherry some beers-instant death (or you might wish). Same with fried chicken livers. I actually enjoy liverwurst, all the things I might'shouldn't have.and have used chicken livers as catfish bait but I dare not eat them. And a far cry twixt mildly allergic and almost dying (anaphylactic shock).eppie pens Things change err on the side of caution. first time you write it of as b.s and someone dies, you are gonna wish you could protect everyone. you can't that's life.(wait a damn min,do you mean the game or cereal,Cause probably gonna be a herd of lawyers with cease and desist...do the best you can...

hey buddy

>> No.5206073

It can make things taste better of used properly, and is healthier than table salt

>> No.5206083

>>5206073
>healthier than table salt
lol'd

>> No.5206092

>>5206083
Well by weight it is.

By concentration its effectively the same and you taste MSG at much lower concentrations so not nearly as much is used to optimally add flavor

Is this post mostly gibberish or am I having a stroke?

I think that chemical structure is not written in a form relevant to biological conditions.
