If anybody ever needs unequivocal proof of how fucked up this country is, look no further than Michelle Obamas appearance at a Subway last month to talk about battling childhood obesity and to promote a healthy lifestyle. At a fucking Subway. Are you kidding me? Subway is shit quality food and all smoke and mirrors. It's not fresh, it's not quality, it's not healthy, it's shit! The fact that the FLOTUS would go to a Subway and talk about healthy eating, which suggests Subway itself is healthy, is totally insulting and absurd.

On another note, I hate Subway. It isn't fresh it's all low quality ingredients, and their "footlongs" don't even fill you up. They put barely any meat or cheese on them. The bread is all air. But of course they will stuff your sandwich with lettuce. Subway sucks and for the 8 bucks it costs to get a filling sandwich there, you are better off going to a local shop that uses real brad and quality meats/cheeses.

I got a 6 inch frito chicken enchilada sub yesterday. It was actually really good, but I wouldn't get it again mainly because a 6 inch costs as much as a normal 12 inch sub. But depending on how many calories I've had that day I might be getting that chipotle southwest sauce on my chicken subs sometimes.

One thing I'll say is that Subway has some of the worst and annoying marketing I've ever seen. The enchilada sandwich is good as fuck, though.

-Firehouse is the best but I don't feel like paying out the ass for a sandwich

-Quiznos is good as hell too, but the one closest to me got a failing score on their health inspection, yet somehow remains open. The next closest one is 20 minutes away

Some places are even stingy with lettuce. One of the two Subways I've worked at started telling me that I had a set amount of lettuce I could put on. If you've seen the paper trays some Subways use to pre-portion the meats, they told me that one of those is the amount of lettuce I should be putting on a foot long.
One manager even said, while looking over my shoulder when I was ringing something up, to never ring up certain purchases a-la-cart again, because it made it cheaper than ringing it as a meal and using substitution buttons.
Subway is ridiculous, and each chain is ridiculous in it's own special way.
The reason the frito shit, pastrami and barbecue sandwiches are all seasonal is because they're even worse for you than their usual sandwiches. The -only- reason Subway is still in business with there being so many better options is because of those stupid AHA stickers and how generally accepted they are as healthy.
