Does anyone know of this type of French coffee pot that I think Alton Brown (from food network) demonstrated?

It was this pot that you put water into, boiled, and as it boiled it would send the coffee to the top of the pot. It was clear glass so you could see what it was doing.

The shit was so cash. I wish I noted what it was. For the life of me I cannot find anything similar on google.

That's called a "Siphon" coffee maker, or "vacuum coffee maker". they've been around since the 1800's.

My gf bought me one last XMas and I have only used it half a dozen times. Haven't been too impressed with my brews, they were always a little weak.

I should try it out more and get a good system going. It's a fun device for a Saturday morning coffee.

I hope you're not using chloraminated tap water for your coffee.
