For mild this... it works nicely on hot dogs.

That is not a mild yellow mustard.

I use Plochman's but I've never given much thought to it.

Believe it or not there's a difference! French's is shit. Plochman's is better. But Heinz - if you can find it - is leagues better than both.

Sure it is, compared to Coleman's powder for instance. Mix up some Coleman's powder into mustard and that's good stuff.

The question was mild, I guess that's pretty subjective. My apologies.

Gulden's just has a guise, that's from the vinegar, that doesn't make it strong mustard. Coleman's is just real mustard.

All that said, Gulden's goes nicely on hot dogs, it's got that right hit for a dog.

How do various store brands compare? Meijer, Walmart, etc?

You're increasing your irrelevance to the discussion. The question wasn't mild, the question was mild yellow. Mild yellow is commonly understood to be something like French's or Plochman's. Gulden's is a spicy brown mustard, has nothing to do with the topic here. It's stronger than French's, Plochman's, etc. so it is not relevant, and who cares what it's milder than? Coleman's is as irrelevant here as Gulden's. Are you autistic or something?

Have some of that in the fridge right now, and it's been my main mustard for a long time, but I'm seriously thinking of switching to either French's or Guldens when the bottle runs out. Just not enough flavor for me the last few times I had a hot dog.

Kill la Kill.

I enjoy Plochman's.

French's is just too vinegary for me. I guess that qualifies as flavor but I think you'll find it's not that great even among yellows.

If you have to try an alternative yellow, then see if you can get your hands on a bottle of Heinz. For some reason it's not widely available in stores but it does exist and is one of the best yellows I've had. It would be my go-to if Plochman's weren't so much easier to get

I have a hard time deciding if I like Plochman's or Morehouse mustard more.

>> No.5066564

so I tried to use yellow mustard to mix my own honey mustard but it didn't taste right at all. I'm not sure if it was too much vinegar or too much mustard but it was way too harsh tasting. should I use a different kind of mustard like dijon or just use mustard powder?

You should keep trying by varying the content and quantities, write them all down. One of these day's you'll get a good mix. Once you do that you can market it to us plebs and make millions.
