Hey, /ck/,

Amateur here. I decided that it would be nice to make a coworker a cake for her b-day. It's a angel food peppermint whipped cream cake with crushed candy canes on it. What do you think?

It was my first time making angel food and it rose too much and spilled over the cake pan. I guess that's how you learn.

What do you think? Also, Christmas cake thread?

Looks pretty good. Might want to touch up the frost near the bottom--I can see some cake peeking through here and there.
And as >>5044438 said, should have crushed the candy canes much finer. The size they are now, people will have to pick them off before eating the cake. If you have the time/extra candy canes, I would pick off the larger pieces, and crush new ones.
