They don't sell it anymore.

It was from sonic, last summer i think.

It had fried jalapenos, jalapeno BBQ sauce, fresh jalapenos and some crazy jalapeno fused cheese. It made me sweat profusely every time I ate it and it was the best thing in the world

RIP in pieces.

absolute favorite is the monster burger from hardees/carls jr, now the monster thickburger. Due to price though I only get it when I have a coupon, and only a few times a month.

Otherwise my normal fallback was the mcdouble.. price and flavor was just perfect a couple times a week. Now going up in price though I might just have to switch to one of the classier burgers for a little more cash, probably the big mac or whopper

Interesting that you found the patty too big. My wife can't finish one, but I have a huge appetite and appreciated the oversized burger.

I knew someone who visited a conference in Fla. while the third-pounders were around, and there was also a huge McDonald's conference in town. She talked to a few McDonald's people around the pool, one said that he was pushing to release the third-pounders as double-patty burgers. THAT would have been a huge fucking burger.

I miss the glory days of supersize, before that faggot's documentary ruined the fun. I used to get the double-quarter pounder meal, supersized with a chocolate shake. I'd feel like I was dying for hours. I was still in high school.

My favorite fast food burger is definitely The Habit. They're a chain that started here in Southern California and are spreading pretty rapidly. They sear the inside of the patties for an added crunchiness (that is further supported by the pickles). Their sauteed onions introduce a slight sweetness that works perfectly with the savory patty. I'm so glad they're located so close to my place.

>> No.4938146

I know what you mean about the topping/burger/bread ratio. I prefer more pillowy bread and thicker burger myself -- the sourdough bun for the angus burgers was just right IMO. I think the feeling on your teeth is an important dimension of the burger experience, if you can feel each layer distinctly on the first bite I think it's a winner.

>>4938128
The mcdouble is remaining $1, but a while ago they ditched the second cheese slice. They're changing the dollar menu to "Dollar and More" with some $2 items, including a bacon McDouble using their (pretty fucking tasty) applewood bacon that they introduced with the 3 new quarter pounders.

Currently testing the new menu in Chicago, rollout in november

http://adage.com/article/news/mcdonald-s-roll-dollar-menu-november/244862/

The items as shown in Chicago are thus:
$1 the Buffalo Ranch McChicken,
$1 item BBQ Ranch Burger is on the websiteusing white cheddar and tortilla strips, sauce is "Zesty BBQ Ranch"

$2 each, "Bacon McDouble", "Bacon Buffalo Ranch McChicken", and the "Bacon Cheddar McChicken".

"you can get whatever you want at whatever fastfood resturant Anon, money is not a problem."

Well let's see:

1st choice: Wendy's classic triple cheese burger, substitute fries with a small chili. small Dr. Pepper. (maybe a small frosty and a small cheesy burger too)

2nd choice: Taco Bell's Nacho Cheese Steak Chilupas, 3 of them, and an enchirito with a medium baja blast

3rd choice: Carl's Jr. Western bacon cheeseburger and a guacamole burger, add some cheese fries (they'll do it for you.)

4th choice: Sonic patty melt with mushrooms, a chili-cheese coney, and an 'ocean water' (basically a sprite with some coconut extract and blue food coloring)

5th choice: 10, yes 10 mc-doubles and an extra large sweet tea. it will set you ack 12 dollars. enjoy your constipation.

It's the same habanero-ranch sauce as the new QP, it's about as spicy as fast food gets -- comparable to Wendy's Spicy Chicken, or McDonald's Mighty Wings. They also put a cilantro-lime glaze on the chicken, and crunchy tortilla strips in there too. I love it, I recommend getting it with crispy chicken.

The first time I tried a wrap there, when they came out, it was all fucked up and the chicken and sauce fell to the bottom. Now they have a hang of how to wrap them properly and they're pretty damn good.

Everything is made fresh and it tastes fresh. You can watch them make fries out of whole potatoes behind the counter, and the shakes are too thick to drink through a straw. The one common complaint is that you have to eat the fries quickly, they don't taste as good when they're not hot. I'm sure you're trolling but just thought I'd slap some truth on you.

I used to eat them back when I smoked weed, I don't think I've done it since. This thread reminded me.

The individual ingredients (pickles, ketchup, cheese) king of "pop" more when they're cooled down, and the burger seems thicker and heavier because all the fat is congealed.

I like it in some cases, like pizza and nachos, if it takes on a gooey-stringy quality but is still strong enough to chew.

I think in other applications, mainly burgers, it's used in marketing to show that the meat is hot -- something people want in meat but which is hard to show in a picture.

Also, aesthetically, cheese is reminiscent of a money shot- but for foods. Makes things look "messy" and indulgent.

I'm with you for the most part. Cheese too hot gets its flavor fucked up, that's why when you order a cheese plate (a time you're actually expected to taste the cheese) they serve it room temperature.

McDonald's McChicken is always freshly made when I order it here in Germany and it always looks like in the advertising (pic related).

a mcchicken shouldnt be circular though. i remember it (German here) as a long burger. and oh god it tasted like heaven. they must have changed the recipe when they changed the form or something.

I refuse to buy a burger from any fast food restaurant. The workers there do dangerous, dirty, demeaning work. They make minimum wage, which is impossible to live on, and often are forced to contend with unreliable hours and scheduling.

I don't want people to be treated that way, so I make the moral choice, and shop elsewhere.

the big buford from checkers/rallys, throw some of those seasoned fries on it and DAYUM. and why? because theyre typically lesser known/less busy than say mcdonalds or BK, so the food usually just tastes hotter and fresher. and they hook shit up, no skimping there. if i really wanna be a fat fuck i'll get a big buford, a spicey chicken sandwich, and loaded fries.

This. The Burger King Steakhouse, they had it on their menu for awhile.

JUST FUCKING KIDDING THIS THING WAS FUCKING DISGUSTING. It was such a good idea in theory but BK really fucked it up, the square patty was thinner than Wendy's patties and the edges would always sag like 3 inches off the bun, forcing you to pretty much eat the saggy-edge-meat which was always burnt to a fucking crisp but still sagging. The whole burger just tasted like carbon, because the patty was fucking burnt. This wasn't a one time occurrence either, this happened multiple times with the steakhouse.

I'm all about that Angry Whopper though, that shit is good. Burger King's zesty sauce is god tier too.

My local chain's menu. My go-to joint for when I want a step up from In-N-Out. A little on the pricey side, but man...a half-pound medium rare Colossal (two half-pound patties) with bacon, mushrooms, and swiss, dunking the fries in their red pepper aioli - lemme tell you...it's hard to have a bad day after one of those.

I've been bulking on almost entirely cheap fast food burgers for the past month.

McDoubles are the absolute best. 3 McDoubles, a McChicken or two and some fries. A meal fit for a king. 2400 cals for around 8 bucks. I will literally never get tired of eating McDoubles.

Anywhere that has a Mushroom and Swiss is probably my favorite fast food burger. I hate that McDick's took away there Mushroom and Swiss. Around here, that leaves only Culver's (which is good, since it offers a single, double, or triple), or Hardee's.

Usually I get a Double Mushroom and Swiss, with Raw Onions, Sweet Potato Fries from Culvers. I dip the fries in Mayo/Ketchup (Fancy/Fry sauce). Shit's cash. I've never gotten the Triple yet, but one day I shall. And I shall be one day closer to my demise.

I'd much rather go to a local sit down diner, but since this thread was about Fast food specifically.

I think Burger King could be improved GREATLY if only they cooked their burgers to order. With their continuous chain broiler (basically an conveyer belt that sears the meat), though, they're limited by time, as the patties take longer to cook that way versus a grill.

I read a pretty interesting article on the subject. It talked about how BK spends millions more than McDonald's on packaging, since they have to use Styrofoam to keep the food warm longer (since they can only churn out so many burgers). This also means their burgers sit in a steam tray for a lot longer than McDonald's, resulting in colder, dryer burgers.

The only burger Ive ever had was from a restaurant in louisiana. It was literally 1/8th pepper flakes and cooked so long that ALL of the fat had rendered out. So, extremely spicy and dry. I ate half of it because I was hungry.

Fav fast food burger would have to be the quarter pounder from McD. BK is good too, but usually extremely greasy (dripping) and doesnt have enough cheese.
