I guess I would be one of the rare people who aren't trolls, maybe something like pumpkin parsnip hash with raisins stuffed pork roast. Lightly smoked in mesquite, lots of sage, bit of coriander, mustard, honey, onion. Reduction of jus for a glaze.

Its healthy not to eat pork all the time and I didn't really grow up eating a ton, but I'm not like so stupid I think there's some God who cares what I eat. I think the laws are there to create ritual significance to food and are about hygiene and dietary preferences to a lesser extent. while I'm not the poster you referred to, I would agree that Jew is closer to a race (a social construct) than an ethnicity (a biologically measurable phenomenon)

This is true moreso today than historically.

There are plenty of people who are the child of a half jew and a non jew who claim to be a jew.

at a certain point you are no longer accurately defining ethincity, because you have no way to be sure that your genetic code still carries any markers of the main historical Jewish genetics (predominately those out of the Middle East and those from Eastern Europe).

There are some Jews who share a common haplotype, but that is the same as saying that there are some African Americans who possess western african native haplotypes, and some that possess southern african haplotypes....

Yet the will commonly call themselves "Black"

also there is a degree to which religion plays a role in some people's jewish identity.

that alone completely removes any reliance upon ancestry or genetics.

furthermore, Judaism is one of few religions that possess explicitly proscribed rules for conversion.

Not to say that there are many Jewish missionaries, but they will absolutely convert you to the faith.

even the most ridiculous orthodox jews in Israel do this.

>> No.4914290

>hygiene

this may have been relevant for pigs millenia ago, but pigs do not carry trichinosis anymore.

Indeed, the FDA has recently dropped its suggestion of 160-170 F internal temperature (pasteurization temperature; to kill trichinosis in pigs) to 145 degrees, which is basically the temperature of well done beef.

I will say it for completeness: there has never been a legitimate health concern associated with foreskin. THAT was propaganda from the beginning.

2.2 million years of hominids reproducing with no problems and no STDs have made that a fact of biology. Foreskin removal doesnt protect you against STDs so theres that too.
