This is one of the best fast food sandwiches I've ever had along with the Burger King Chef's Choice Burger, and Wendy's Pretzel Bun Bacon Cheeseburger.

What are some of your favorites, both current and discontinued?

It is good, OP.

Arby's is the worst fast food chain on the face of the planet. If I was starving I'd rather keep starving than ever taste that shit again.

The only thing that Arby's is better than is being buried alive.

I seriously doubt it. I'm a Texan and will not accept a mediocre brisket. That cut is serious business down here.

Smokehouse Brisket is shit. The only reason I even go to Arbys is for the curly fries.

Arby's curly fries are some high tier shit.
I'd probably need a coin flip to pick between curly fries and Chick-fil-A's waffle fries w/ Chick-fil-A sauce.

Maybe just be fat and get both.

>> No.4892186

I really liked Jack in the Box's Fish and Chips when they were first rolled out. I don't know if anyone remembers but they were made with Alaskan pollock fillets and the chips were these fat, soft fluffy potato wedges that soaked up the malt vinegar just right. It tasted almost as good as a proper pub's fish and chips.

Then they started giving you regular fries instead of the "chips", and then the fish they gave you would alternate between being these weird fucking triangles like you'd buy frozen at the supermarket and these horrible crispy burnt-tasting oily fillets. I don't know what the fuck happened.

The smokehouse Brisket from Arbys is absolutely #1. Before this launched I bought a brisket sandwich at a local BBQ place that was dry, flavorless, and twice the price.

#2 has got to be Whataburger's Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich. It's hands down the largest fast food chain sandwich I've found and it is the best chicken one. My only gripe is that I spill giant globs of BBQ Sauce on myself every time I eat it. I even tried making a giant napkin bib with no luck.

Lastly I'l give some props to Carls Jr's Portobello Mushroom Burger. I love mushrooms and they work great with that Mayo-based sauce.

I don't care for Wendy's pretzel burger though. Something about it reminds me of some sort of bastardized school cafeteria version of hamburger macaroni and cheese.

That burger looks great, I'll have to give Carl's another try. I've only been once and got a regular burger, something Star burger. I don't live very close to one. I liked it, and that pic, if I'm in the area I'll probably stop by and try it.

Whataburger in general is god tier. You also get more burger/sandwich for your dollar than you do at other places (Wendy's and Jack have been gotten noticeably smaller over the last few years while price increased).

The only downside is that their fries are good, but not great. Luckily their awesome ketchup makes up for it.

I have to admit I was a little addicted to McDonald's angus burger. I don't even know why. It was a lot better than their usual stuff, but nothing to write home about. Nonetheless I kept eating them.

I agree completely. Their angus burgers were the best things on their menus.
Their new 1/4 pounders are good, but not close to those bad boys.

I like Whataburger fries quite a bit. They aren't really special or unique in any way, but they are very solid fast food style fries. The ketchup really brings them up a few notches. If I just want some good fries I'll go to Chick fil A, or Popeyes. I've never gone to Whataburger just for the fries, but with my meal they are above average and do the job well. And again, dat ketchup.

Yea I've seen that, they also had the spicy ketchup and mustard. I've thought about buying a bottle but I don't use ketchup, ever. I have an unopened bottle in my fridge from two years ago. The only time I use ketchup is on Whataburger fries, and I can get it there for free.

Have you tried it on steak yet?
