>Best /ck/ related TV shows?

I believe you mean films, and the only correct answer is Tampopo.

There are a handful of other decent /ck/ related movies out there, but Tampopo tops them all.

If you are specifically looking for TV shows then you need to be more specific. If you are looking for quality /ck/ entertainment then you need to look at film. If you are looking for instructional shows (even entertaining ones), you are best looking online (Good Eats is always a good place to begin). If you are looking for shit entertainment reality shows then you'd do better asking /tv/.

>protip: /tv/ has horrible taste

I've always quite enjoyed No Reservations.

Unfortunately, it's really focused on discovering food culture, not really aimed at how to make food yourselves. They should have more shows aimed at home cooking, without the competitive element they all seem to have nowadays. Although Ready, Steady, Cook has some decent ideas for home cooked meals, sometimes.

No Reservations for sure, I go on a binge watching it on youtube. It is definitely not a 'cooking' show more a food culture show. Ready, Steady, Cook annoys me, haha

I know what you mean, you cant keep track of a recipe because they're always switching between contestants and that dickhead host keeps sticking his awkward nose in, I'm not sure who this show is made to appeal to.

Lel, when I first moved out and lived on my own, I would watch that Rachel Ray 30 min meals show. That's how I got into cooking. If not for that show, I'd probably be eating nothing but fast food, easy mac, cup noodles, and salami sandwiches.

Th-thanks Rachael Ray...

Why did I come back to /ck/?
Its full of feels. tfw dont have a gf to watch No Reservations with anymore.
the most shocking one was Tony eating egg cooked on the fucking ground. I think the fire was fueled by actual shit, too. I actually felt bad for him that episode.

>You Gotta Eat Here
>Recipe to Riches
>Man vs Food

For more instructional shows...
>Good Eats

That guy pisses me off a bit because he seems more like a foodie than an actual chef and he seems a bit arrogant and pseudo intellectual. I will hand it to him for eating all that funky shit that he encounters.

I think a hands on instructional show would do wonders for him and show people he isnt just some burnout windbag.

Great British bake-off because it's a less pretentious masterchef.

Hairy Bikers because unlike most cooking shows, I'd eat 3/4 of what they make. Fuck most cooking shows obsession with fish (and strong fish at that).

Yeah, well, No Reservations is more of a foodie show than a cooking show in the first place. Bourdain's entire television career other than guest spots as a judge on competitive cooking shows is way more focused on being a foodie than being a (now retired,) chef.
If you want his opinions on cooking or recipes you're gonna have to check out his writing.

Also he's reasonably self-aware of the fact that he became the thing he railed against a decade ago.
