I more or less agree with you, OP, except I like Italian and Greek the most. In general I don't like European food too much. Why does nobody make a thread about favourite worldwide cuisines?
And of course, the Brits are the worst. And yes, I've been there. Got nothing but fast food, those breakfasts make me puke, the only thing I like is tea, but that's more of an asian things really.

British is absolute shit and because the french cuisine is considered amazing and sophisticated in films, doesn't mean everyone must like it. I don't. I'm not OP. I like some desserts and cheese.

French "haute cuisine" is a set of skill and definition that has nothing to do with actual, traidtional French people cuisine. French Local food is awesome.

Are you suggesting the only good food from Turkey would be kebab? Not really. Actual Turkish cuisine includes all kinds of foods, from great stews, vegetable dishes, and most commonly known, the amazing pastries, like börek or baklava. They have a lot more to offer than kebab.

Honestly, Spanish food is quite shitty. Of all the times I have been in Spain I have regretted eating anything other than fast food. Other than paella of course.

The food they serve to tourists sucks. But just go to local taverns for great wines and dried meats, small ports for fish and seafood straight out of the sea, and to farmers' markets for great fresh vegetables and herbs.

Spanish food is all about the basic flavours; just some grilled sardines, bread and olive oil, while overlooking an old harbour. Not the tourist food they serve at most restaurants, that's absolute crap.

>> No.4839057

But British food is delicious, OP. The problem is that nobody here can be bothered to cook it, because it requires time and quality ingredients, neither of which anyone has. So we generally just eat bastardized versions of Italian and Indian food, from ready-made sauces in jars.

Can't really argue on that one, celiac here. But for what I've heard, we Dutchfags do know our way around fried foods, breads and cakes.

Then again, considering boiled potatoes and veggies, mashed together, the national dish... shit-tier.

You prefer Italian over Croatian? Care to explain why?

Personally, I tend to like Croatian more because it has a more rustic feel to it, less refined, yet more satisfying. Plus their spicy olive oil. That had me hooked instantly.

Could you please explain your knowledge of the culture, people and food of my whole country? In case you don't talk from the ignorance, of course.

Also, putting together hungarian, polish and czech cuisine. You have no idea of what you are writing about, do you?
