Mah nigga. Hope you have a new job lined up though, that booze isn't gonna help. Quit a job one time and spent six months drinking up my savings before I got a new one.

I'm drinking some 1835 bourbon right now, got some Spaten Oktoberfest chilling in the fridge for later.

I actually haven't tried Buffalo Trace yet, might just mix vicodin & beer so I can have it for a fishing trip tomorrow

Pretty much this. Why quit OP and what are you doing? I spent three months failing at job interviews for decent jobs because I had no real experience. Then I gave up and spent another three months failing at job interviews at fast food and retail jobs because I was "overqualified". I hope you have a nice stash of dough or are living at home, those savings go quickly. Been working a year now and just now back to where I was when I quit my job.

I'd save the beer for the fishing trip and maybe some of the bourbon. Shiner is great in the sun on the lake.

very true, but I just opened 6 of 12. Might have to pick up Shiner Ruby Red for tomorrow.

That one sucks tho. Haven't had it on a hot day though, I guess I can see how it'd be refreshing in the sun. Actually my favorite beer when summer fishing is some Sol cooled down to sub-zero temperatures. I'm assuming you're in hot as fuck texas since your drinking shiner bock, some ice cold Mexican beer is like the God's nectar on that lake.

I hate most Mexican beer, even though my last name is Gomez. Modelo Negro is where it's at though.
As far as geography, I'm about 30min from Palacios, so it's always hot & humid as fuck.
Ruby Red is pretty great when it's cold & you're hot, but definitely not as a casual environment beer

I might give it another go if it comes up. I had it once on not a particularly warm evening awhile back, I recall it tasting like grapefruit ginger-ale and almost not even tasting like beer. I didn't hate it, but I don't think I've had a beer that I straight up didn't like. Just wasn't impressed. As for Mexican beer, the only time I can stand it is when I'm sweating bullets under a shadeless sun and when it's ice cold. In those moments nothing is better.

Shitty fireball 750mls that were 66% off.
What did you do, and whydja quit OP? Props if it was something you had been trying to do for a while.

drinking 2 Gingers on the rocks here. it's fine.

apparently MN is the number 1 consumer of Jameson, and 2 Gingers is some kind of "hey you like this, now try THIS" type of thing. anyone else have this whiskey available in their area? it's extraordinarily light and a bit peaty, which i like. also recently tried "Tullamore Dew" which, again, seems directed squarely at my region; its exactly like Jameson except a bit more...bourbon-y? i dunno, i'm fooken drinked now anyhow.

anyone else have any experience with these brands?
