Hey /ck/, Murican here. What do other countries/cultures enjoy to eat with their tea/coffee. I love having a nice tea break with a snakc and was wondering how other people did it up. Can also include what kind of tea/ coffee.

I also enjoy drinking Vietnamese coffee and was wondering what's a good side with that?

Vietnamese coffee is very sweet, so I'd drink that after a meal with dessert (or as a dessert).

French people typically eat some croissants or biscuits with their coffee or tea.
It's one of those stereotypes that are actually true.

>> No.4721283

I'm Finnish, and somehow I've been hard-wired by my childhood home so that when having tea in the afternoon, sandwiches and boiled eggs must be served alongside. No way around it. And sandwiches must be on the slim side, with cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, bell pepper and cucumber being acceptable fillings, but no more than one layer each and no more than 4 layers in total.

>> No.4721289

>>4721284
No, that's Britain stereotype.
The French smell stereotype comes from Americans entering a country ravaged by war and somehow being offended people couldn't wash.

>> No.4721362

I enjoy something salty, sandwich or croissant or something with my coffee.
Usually I just drink it without anything though.

If I'm skipping out on sugar or anything in my tea, which I enjoy black tea, I enjoy a bowl of very sweet fruit. If I have sugar in the tea then bitter fruit is nice. Not the most exciting but I find it delicious and relaxing.

I'm mexican. Most people serve them alongside pan dulce (pic related) but personally I never eat anything along with my coffee or tea. Then again I seldom sweeten or add milk to it.
It is obligatory for me to eat pan dulce if I'm having hot chocolate, though.

Get one from Casa dos Frios if you can, eat it cold. It's delicious.

This cake is so good it has been deemed intangible cultural heritage of the state of Pernambuco.

I also love having pão de queijo with coffee, though its not very common here (and I suppose it is different from the ones made in Minas, a regional cheese product you use, I think). Bakeries around here rarely have pāes de queijo. The best I have eaten were the frozen ones from the supermarket, I'm afraid.

This deosn't have anything to do with your question, but if im feeling hungry in the morning i love bread and honey dipped into hot chocolate it makes the hot chocolate taste bitter and the honey melts if i don't have hot chocolate i like coffee with cakes or biscuits.or espresso with ice cream is a good desert.
