I've been cooking some really good stuff lately.

The problem is I've been putting leftovers in the fridge and bringing them to work the next day to save $ by not eating out.

It always turns out tasting like crap.

Espessally anything with rice.

What can I cook and nuke the next day without it tasting horrible?

okay then I'll post the few things I've done that are good to microwave.

minestrone soup.
chili con carne
stir fry with no noodles or rice

nothing else.

When microwaving leftover rice, make sure you add water first. also cover it if you can.

This is as close as you can get to steaming it using a microwave, there's really no such thing as good microwaved rice

you might be able to buy some specially processed/packaged rice shit, uncle ben's or whatever, that is designed to be made in the microwave. if you can afford it it's better to make a fresh pack like this and throw out the drying leftover crap rice.

If you make stuff with rice eat it cold. Rice never improves by nuking. Also, if you use pasta use stuff like penne and fussilli as they hold together bettr if you reheat them. Try to cook stuff with sauce liek chicken that you can reheat and eat with crusty bread.

In Spain everyone does. I remember when I first started working everyone went to a restaurant and had a 3 course cheap meal. Nowadays people can't even afford it once a week.

Was going to say this. Just one tablespoon of water will do.

drying leftover crap rice makes the best fried rice, so if you have any interest in making fried rice, use it for that. Otherwise yes, it can go. But I've eaten leftover rice for several days by microwaving it with water because poorfag and it's fine.

OP, SPAM FRIED RICE! That shit can last a whole week from the time you first make it, and it heats up very well in the microwave.

That shit is the bomb, even when microwaved. SPAM, eggs, rice, whatever veggies you want with it. I recommend onions, garlic, and bell peppers, but I'm sure you could add peas, carrots, or anything else you like it.

The reason that SPAM works so well when re-microwaved is that it doesn't toughen like every other meat. It stays nice and soft on the inside, while maintaining the crust on the outside if you gave it one during the initial cooking. Haters going to hate on SPAM, but it's delicious as long as nothing else is loaded with salt.
