Hodad's in San Diego. I hate to say it, but I have to agree with him. One of the best burgers I ever had.

He came to a place in my city. I went there with some friends and the service was terrible. Food was also underwhelming.

I used to frequent Magnolia Cafe in Austin before his show went there (inb4 calling me a hipster). It really is good, the first time my parents came to Austin that is where I took them. Creative stuff and some really tasty vegetarian dishes. Its also the first place I ever had butternut squash for whatever reason. It has always been packed and I'm sure now its even crazier.

Same for Scully's Tavern. Karaoke ever Wednesday and the food is good and also a little unexpected. It is a bit of a dive, and they serve escargot. Also, some amazing fries. I DO know that the Miami New Times voted their fries Best In Miami 2013.

It's generally true, though. That kind of exposure will draw in the general public in mass. That means more of the lowest common denominator, which in turn affects the quality of the staff and their performance.

>> No.4574494

>>4574459
A lot of the places featured on TV lower the quality of the food to make more money, because of the exposure.

The entire business reason for having good tasting food is for exposure, and if you get exposure from a TV show like Triple D you no longer need to serve as high quality food.

>> No.4574495

>>4574488

Yeh cause you've been to soooooo many of the restaurants and this fucking show has such a maaaaaaaassive audience that being broadcast by fucking Guy Fieri will ruin the quality of every single restaurant after production.

Go fuck yourself you pathetic little faggot. Try admitting you said something stupid instead of floundering to defend your idiotic statement and never admitting you're wrong.

>> No.4574498

>>4574494

All of those places were already busy and popular and local staples, often for decades. I really fucking doubt that the majority of them lower the quality of their craft (many of them are actually proud chefs) because of the minor boon in business caused by being a flash point on one episode of a mildly popular tv show.

>> No.4574522

What? Jesus Christ the thought process which wrote the post you just made must be one of the slowest and least logical around. I proved your point how? By suggesting that since you haven't been to even a fiftieth of the restaurants on the show you probably aren't qualified to remark on how they have "generally" suffered in quality after their episodes broadcast.

But what do I know xD I'm just the lowest common denominator who thinks you should actually try something before proclaiming that it's now lessened in quality lol

Your the lowest common denominator because you believe everything you see on television and can't think outside of your own half-retard opinions. I don't need to argue with you. You're just looking to start an internet fight because you're an unhappy, sexually frustrated greasy neckbeard who for some fucked up reason, unbeknownst to anyone outside of your tiny, deficient mind, feels the need to defend Guido Ferry and all the grease bomb restaurants he visits. Even though you have no idea how restaurants work, have no knowledge of customer service, don't understand trending within the population or the laws of quality vs. quantity. I ate at Gorilla Barbecue in Pacifica, I live about 3 minutes away from the place. Food was awful. The sauce on the ribs was sour, the meat was tough. And the pecan pie tasted like they bought it next door from Safeway. There's no place to sit and eat, because the place is basically a bright orange railroad car. Pretty awful. Yet I see a long line of suckers waiting for it every weekend when I drive by.
