Traveler from /a/ here. One of my friends recently became vegan so I have to re-plan what I'm making for my college grad party. Anyone have any good recipes that are relatively inexpensive?

For one person? Just buy him a bag of chips and proceed to make the food you were planning on making for the rest.

Pizza without the cheese (and meat, of course) should be pretty easy and also of interest to anybody who isn't vegan. You can easily just order it from a pizza place, too.

Well another is vegetarian, but I usually feed him cheese pizza. Then there's one who is dairy-free but will eat dairy at social events. So three people could eat it.

this, I'm a vegetarian and I'd never make some redo an entire event for my sake. I'd suck it up and eat it, it's not like I'm going die or my beliefs will be damaged because of it.

then you're not a vegetarian.

Oh no, I'll still be cooking with all my meat and cheese glory. I just wanted an extra thing on the side so I won't have to listen to him bitch

Oh ok. Misunderstanding on my part.

What kind of theme is the food?

I am a vegetarian but I'm also a civil person.
Not being rude or indignant trumps my dietary beliefs. Just because it's not at the absolute top of my priority list does not make me any less of one. It's like saying you can't be both a father and husband. If you love your wife is the higher priority in your life.

Let the guy bitch and whine all he wants. Give him a slice of white bread and a glass of soy milk or something and then proceed to make fun of his beliefs.

This fucking guy. You sure don't sound like any vegetarian I've ever met (I mean that in a good way).

I thought it was part of the lifestyle to complain and scoff at anyone who doesn't believe exactly what you believe.

chocolate and peanut butter raw balls
8-10 pitted dates
handful chopped pecans
2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon cocoa powder and more for dusting
1 tablespoon date syrup, or corn syrup, agave, etc

Put all the ingredients in a food processor or do it in two lots in a hand blender.
Turn out the rubble mixture into a bowl and roll a teaspoon amount into a ball. Repeat until you get approx. 12 raw balls.
Place in fridge overnight and on the day you need them dust in cocoa powder. Feed to your vegan friend at the party / watch your other friends eat all his food.
