Describe your ideal taco.
Mine:
>soft white corn tortillas, doubled up
>barbecue chicken
>crumbled cotija
>homemade salsa
>lots of cilantro

>> No.4449133

From the bottom up...

>soft flour tortilla
>melted cheese
>hard corn taco shell
>generous dollop sour cream
>fajita-style cuts of beef and/or poultry and/or pork
>salsa - roasted (habanero, serrano, orange bell pepper, roma [tomato, olive oil, salt, crushed red pepper, peppercorn medley]), honey
>shredded cheese, be it provolone, mozzarella, sharp cheddar, or something else delicious

Taco Hell has a good idea, with their Cheesy Gordita Crunch. They just need to be made with primo ingredients.

whoops, that [ should be left of 'roma'. But you get the picture.

No love for fish tacos?

>Grilled halibut on a corn tortilla with cilantro, shredded cabbage, and creamy chipotle-lime sauce.

>> No.4449262

>>4449259

Or substitute pico de gallo for the cabbage.

Or both.

>> No.4449269

just made this one a week ago

1 onion and 1 garlic clove sliced, toss into pan with oil, caramelize and season

get some cheap steaks of some sort (not london broil), dried chipotle+marash chilis, salt, pepper and sear them off in a pan with a bit of olive oil

while that's happening, chop up cilantro and romaine lettuce, dress with half a lime's juice and a pinch of salt, toss

pour white wine into the steak pan once you're done, deglaze and pour that into the onions, mix

serve in toasted flour tortilla shells

>> No.4449271

>deep-fried breaded whitefish
