Using my phd in Fryology, I can confirm that these are indeed fries of the freedom variety.

That seems really involved for something McDonalds has ready for a dollar whenever you want.

>> No.4442759

>>4442748
McDonald's boils their fries in vinegar, salt and water solution, then partially fries before freezing and transporting to their stores. That's why they can be made in about 3 minutes.

Belgian street fries are just double fried, at two temperatures. Once at lower heat for a fluffy/soft inside, and again at high temperature for the crispy outside. Because they deal with a high volume, they can just keep two fryers going. If you're doing it at home, its a huge pain in the ass. If you can be fucked to double fry, serve them with samurai sauce, which is just belgian spicy mayonnaise. Its fucking great though.

picked up some fresh cheese curds, making poutine later. None of this disco fries shit that americlaps and europoors try to call poutine. Cheese != cheese curds

It's just called fries. There's nothing special about Belgian fries or Belgian food in general. And it's not a huge pain in the ass to double fry at home.
