What should I cook today?

I don't really have any inspiration at the moment.

Beans, sausage, black bread.

Nigga, it's almost like you don't even Reichswehr.

Seconded.
1. Coconut Milk
2. Screwpine Leaf
3. 3 Cups of Rice
Steam. And then have with whatever junk food + fried egg + Chilli padi for epic win, everytime.

I'm studying in London and I miss being able to eat Nasi Lemak EVERYDAY.

>not smuggling sambal into the country every time you go home/asking your friends and family to help you
It sucks not being able to get fresh screwpine and ikan bilis though.

Do you know where to get belacan?

26 Queensway
Bayswater
London W2 3RX

Oriental supermarket, sells belacan, all kinds of curry paste, bawang goreng, sambal chilli, fish maw, fat choy, tom yum pastes and just about everything you need.

Oh, and instant mee goreng. The Myojo kind.

I figured you'd spaz out someway along those notes. I know I did. Most of these things are available at Chinatown as well, anon. Or are you one of those first-year Imperial students living up in Bayswater?

I've been to that really big asian supermarket in Chinatown a couple of times, and I go just go nuts.

I'm a first year but I don't live in London. The city I live in only has one poorly stocked asian store, but the campus store has a nice asian section. You never realise how much you miss the little things from home until they're gone.

I know your feels, bro, I know ALL your feels. Which is why I've been trying to beat the system by cooking my own damn Singaporean/Malaysia food. Made Char Hay Mee a few months back. Next project is either Char Kway Teow or Bak Chor Mee.

Protip: Pork scratching is an okay substitute for bak yu pok.

Sorry about the Imperial bit.

How long have you been living here? Oh man I miss tomato kueh teow now. If you like bak cho mee you really need to try kolo mee.

>bak yu pok
Funny you should say that, I made a big pot of it yesterday. Cooking time is at least an hour, but it's super easy.

On my second year now. Don't remind me about kolo mee, it's like ak chor mee's barely legal, nubile younger siser. I think I have the right shallot oil for the job.

Oh no, Kou Rou. You just made my day, anon.
